A daily three-topic blog post has proven to be too much for me to handle.
It sounds pitiful, but it’s true. To write these topics, I first have to find the top searches of each day. Then I research each topic. Then I have to manufacture something I need to say about them.
Half of the searches are ‘Team 1 vs Team 2,’ which I have nothing to say about anyways. The next 40 percent are controversial topics I don’t feel comfortable truly talking about until I do my due diligence in research (add some more research time). Even then, I sometimes don’t have any opinion or don’t feel like laying down some hardcore political opinion for daily writing practice.
I’m going to cut back topics on each post to 1 per day. Similar to the past, I’ll include the top three searches each day at the top of each article, but rather than make some halfhearted comment on each, I will pick one and allocate all my effort toward that single topic.
I’ll update the methodology page to reflect these new changes for new readers.
This will mean losing the ‘BANK and BLANK’ style of titling I was doing, which I enjoyed. But to love something truly we must let it go.
NEVER STOP WRITING!
