The Death of Healthy Fast Food and a Disturbing Livestream

Top trending Google searches in the U.S. are:

  1. perez hilton
  2. salad and go
  3. arsenal vs betis

perez hilton

This story makes me feel bad for Hilton, who clearly needed help.

I’ve seen a lot of push back against TikTok for being slow in taking the livestream down, but this seems like some opportunistic outrage to hurt a tech giant. They removed the stream relatively quickly, and I’m not even convinced it’s realistic, or even their responsibility, to shield viewers from every harmful action committed by individuals in real time.

salad and go

I had never heard of this fast food chain until today — maybe that’s why they’re going bankrupt.

Salad and Go was founded in 2013. A perfect time for a health foods business. The 2010s and early 20s were an era of body positivity (remember Lizzo??). That time has quietly and hypocritically passed as GLP-1s have become publicly available. Suddenly everyone has “fixed their eating habits” overnight, or found the “perfect workout for my body style”.

RIP to this album cover, by the way:

My prediction is that many more healthy food chains (though I’m not sure I even know any. Chipotle?) will take similar hits now that I can have my potato ole’s and abs too.

arsenal vs betis

I don’t have anything to say about soccer that isn’t the World Cup.

I do like the name Betis though.
