This earthquake in Japan struck a mall. As if people needed another reason to not go to a mall.

As a resident of Wyoming, I have not had the displeasure of feeling an earthquake. I hope I never have to. While watching the limited series Shogun, I remember the characters saying that Japanese houses were built to go up as fast as they come down. They purposefully built light, knowing that earthquakes would come. Apparently that wasn’t just movie magic.
